Credentials

Being an expat myself, I have been immersed in a diverse cultural environment for all my life. I was born in Munich, Germany and emigrated to Israel in my teenage years. I attended The American International School in Israel and continued to study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, from which I graduated with an M.A. cum laude in Psychological Counseling and Education. After completing my degree, I worked for three years as a psychological counselor for foreign university students at the Goldsmith School for Overseas Students in Jerusalem.

In 1990 I moved to the Netherlands where I continued my studies and obtained the M.A. ( Doctorandus) of Clinical Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. For eight years I was employed as a psychologist at the Clinical Genetics Department of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) counseling clients who applied for presymptomatic testing for Huntington's disease, CADASIL and various forms of genetic breast and colon cancer.

Since 1996 I have been working in private practice with the expatriate community as well as with Dutch clients treating different psychological problems and complaints.
